Digital Content Intern—Part-time, paid position (Remote/USA)

The Beyond Celiac communications team seeks an enthusiastic intern to assist in developing communications materials and support the communications team in performing content and strategy audits and digital content creation.

The Digital Content Intern will work closely with the communications team to review the Beyond Celiac YouTube channel, LinkedIn, and website (60% of time). The intern will support a website review through research, content review, and content generation. Additionally, the intern will assist the Social Media Coordinator on the Beyond Celiac podcast Celiac Straight Talk throughout the internship program. The intern will help create episode themes and source guests, and if interested, assist the Social Media Coordinator with editing (30%). The remaining 10% of the workload will be reserved for tasks as needed, such as content creation for TikTok and Instagram.

Responsibilities

  • Audit existing YouTube and LinkedIn presence
  • Provide research-based growth and engagement strategies for the Beyond Celiac YouTube channel and LinkedIn accounts
  • Review and generate SEO-enhancing website content
  • Source guests and develop themes for Celiac Straight Talk podcast
  • Assist in the design, creation, and execution of TikTok videos and Reels
  • Complete other communications-related tasks as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a related degree (such as communications, health communications, marketing, psychology, technical writing, multimedia studies)
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace
  • Experience with WordPress or similar content management system

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with celiac disease
  • Experience in social media management
  • Experience in graphic design or visual arts
    • Especially TikTok and Reel creation
  • Familiarity with podcast editing
  • DEI knowledge
  • Completion of one or more courses on health communications

Logistics

  • $15.00 per hour
  • Part-time, 20 hours/week
  • Fully remote
  • Open to candidates operating this internship for practicums or other school internship requirements

This intern will work closely with the Beyond Celiac Communications Team and report directly to the Director of Communications.

Timeline

  • Application deadline: May 10th
  • Summer 2024 internship start date: June 17th
  • Internship end date: August 9th
