What’s the Difference Between “Grads” and “Accreditation”?

GREAT Kitchens and GREAT Schools, Colleges and Camps offers tiered opportunities for establishments to show their commitment to serving safe gluten-free options.

GREAT Grads

GREAT Grads are people who have completed the training programs and passed the final exam at the end of the course. They receive a certificate if they pass with an 80% or above. The GREAT Grads may be employed or own restaurants or work in schools.

GREAT Accreditation

Only establishments that demonstrate their use of safe gluten-free protocols can achieve GREAT Accreditation through Beyond Celiac. Not only have these establishments trained their staff and passed the final exam, but they’ve also applied to have their menus, ingredients and procedures evaluated and approved by the Beyond Celiac GREAT Kitchens team.

Accredited GREAT Kitchens and GREAT Schools, Colleges and Camps pledge their commitment to serving safe gluten-free food. They understand how vital gluten-free food is to your health and can articulate what they offer and be transparent about their practices and ingredients.

Whenever you dine out at a restaurant, including GREAT-trained establishments, it is still important to ask questions about ingredients and procedures to ensure proper steps are being taken to keep your food safe.
