Vote for Your Favorite Celiac Websites

Two online contests offer chance to spread celiac awareness and NFCA pride.

As election season reaches its peak, exercise your right to vote…for celiac awareness. Two online contests, one gluten-free specific and one general, are giving celiacs a chance to show their pride.

beyondceliac.org has been nominated for Best Gluten-Free Website by GFREEK.com. The survey also nominates the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) as Best Gluten-Free Non-Profit Organization. Celiacs and those on a gluten-free diet can vote for their favorite gluten-free products and services now through Dec. 20, 2010. Awards will be posted on Jan. 5, 2011.

In an unrelated contest, Tina Turbin, contributor for the NFCA’s monthly newsletter, has earned recognition for her website, www.GlutenFreeHelp.info. The website was one of 10 selected from a pool of more than 6.5 million sites to participate in the .INFO Award Contest.

Turbin’s site offers tips on managing celiac disease, ranging from diagnosis to parenting issues. “If this site is chosen as the top .INFO site, we all can have a win,” Turbin said.

To vote for Turbin’s site, visit www.info-award.info. You will be prompted to register your name and email. Once registered, you will receive an email with a link to the voting page. Select www.GlutenFreeHelp.info
