Zagat shared their picks for most interesting trends happening in Mexican cuisine in the U.S.
The gluten-free industry has skyrocketed to reach the $20 billion mark. 52% of chain restaurants surveyed are reporting they plan to expand their gluten-free menu options. Now, gluten-free options are being recognized as a trend in Mexican cuisine for 2014, according to Zagat.
“Most Mexican food is naturally gluten-free – a fact that is not lost on savvy restaurateurs, who are increasingly touting the fact with menu coding or entire separate gluten-free menus,” the Zagat article read.
