Gluten-Free Cookbook Author Introduces New Bread Book and Makes a Bread-Baking House Call

Cookbook author Nicole Hunn announces a contest in light of the launch of her new cookbook, Gluten Free on a Shoestring Bakes Bread.

Going gluten-free is no small task. There’s so much to learn. So many foods you have to give up. And of course, a whole new way to cook and bake. That’s why one well-known blogger and cookbook author is taking her “tips and advice” to a whole new level. She’s not just offering to help. She’s offering herself.

Nicole Hunn writes the popular blog and cookbook series Gluten Free on a Shoestring. To coincide with the December release of her latest book, Gluten Free on a Shoestring Bakes Bread, Nicole is offering a series of giveaways, culminating when one lucky reader will win a day of baking with Nicole – who will make a bread-baking house call to the winner’s home.

The giveaways kicked off on November 11th when Nicole asked blog readers to share “Bread Memories” of their pre-gluten-free days for a chance to win a bundle of baking supplies and an autographed copy of Gluten Free on a Shoestring Bakes Bread.

The second giveaway, to be announced the week of November 18th, will include copies of the new book, plus a stand mixer and a home bread proofer, sponsored by Kitchen Aid and Brod & Taylor.

For the grand finale, one lucky reader will win a day of bread baking in his or her own kitchen with Nicole herself! That’s right, Nicole will drive or fly to the winner’s home for a day of hands-on, gluten-free bread baking guidance. The grand prize will be triggered when Nicole’s new book reaches a predetermined number of pre-orders.

“Gluten-free baking can be overwhelming. And for many, the final frontier is conquering gluten-free bread,” Nicole says. That’s why she wants to remove the fear and restore the enjoyment. “When you have to eat gluten-free, there’s a real emotional loss. A loss of the foods you love and remember. Simple family traditions like pizza night, Sunday morning pancakes, or even hot, buttery breadsticks at your favorite restaurant.”

With Gluten Free on a Shoestring Bakes Bread, Nicole’s goal is to help people bring back those memories – and turn them into a gluten-free reality. And for one lucky winner, Nicole will be helping them do it, right in their own kitchen. “I want people to see that they can enjoy their favorite foods once again. And that gluten-free bread can be as good – or even better – than the breads they’ve had to give up.”
