The below press release is from Amy-Rota Poulin.

Granville, New York (April 8, 2013) – A HUGE success last week (April 2, 2013) as the Glens Falls and Saratoga Celiac Support Group, O’Tooles and Amy Rota-Poulin teamed up for the first ever gluten-free buffet at O’Tooles Restaurant Pub in Queensbury. People of all ages came out for this landmark event during the support group’s monthly meeting to celebrate O’Tooles distinction of being the first restaurant in the area to complete and implement the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) GREAT Kitchens Course.

“Michael Moynihan, the General Manager of O’Tooles, did an outstanding job” says Amy Rota-Poulin.O'Toole's Owner“A gluten-free diet requires attentive food preparation and handling. O’Tooles is outstanding as their kitchen contains no airborne flour. Mike genuinely cares about his customers and is eager to continue learning about the latest and safest gluten-free products to offer his customers.

“The food was absolutely fabulous,” continues Rota-Poulin. “Cheesy loaded potato skins, crispy wings with a tangy ranch dipping sauce, a bold garden salad, a creamy broccoli Alfredo tossed over penne pasta, Saratoga Gluten-Free Goods bread, and, my favorite dish, chicken parmesan over penne pasta. Yes, all of the food was pure gluten-free goodness! The response was outstanding as the gluten free-buffet sold out!”

“Michael and the O’Toole’s team have done an exemplary job of implementing the gluten-free protocols they learned through GREAT Kitchens training. We are so grateful for their dedication and we thank our affiliate Amy (Rota-Poulin) for providing the team with ongoing support,” says Beckee Moreland, Director of Gluten-Free Industry Initiatives at the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA).

“It gave me and my staff great pleasure to see many of our gluten-free customers enjoying our first ever Gluten-Free Buffet. Due to its success and positive feedback, we look forward to doing more gluten-free buffets in the future. When you visit O’Toole’s, please ask your hostess for a gluten-free menu and inform your waitress you are dining gluten-free. O’Toole’s Restaurant would like to thank NFCA for offering the GREAT Kitchens course. It gave us the knowledge and training necessary to safely serve gluten-free customers.”Food at Gluten-Free Buffet

“This program empowers the food industry to provide safe gluten-free options for individuals, businesses, and institutions. I was very happy to work with O’Toole’s and assist them in completing the NFCA GREAT Kitchens Course” says Rota-Poulin. “And, O’Toole’s isn’t the only business to complete the course. Stay Tuned! We have more exciting things to come!”

“And, don’t forget, May is Celiac Awarness Month,” continues Moreland. “This year, NFCA is working to ‘Fuel the Family.’ Many people don’t realize that celiac disease is genetically based and runs in families.”
