FDA Gluten-Free Research Study

Late-breaking news about the recent FDA survey!

Earlier this week, the FDA launched a gluten-free research survey for the purpose of gaining information about the labeling of gluten-free food products and the grocery shopping habits of celiac community.

The FDA had requested the participation of adults diagnosed with celiac disease or gluten-intolerance or caregivers to such individuals.

After speaking with the FDA, NFCA learned that the quota for celiac participants for the gluten-free survey was met almost immediately. Unfortunately, a programming error within the FDA gluten-free survey system prevented this message from being sent to respondents. Instead, celiac survey participants received a response telling them that they were ineligible or unqualified to continue further. This is not the case. The response has been overwhelming so the FDA has closed this part survey shortly.

The survey remains open for people with non-celiac Gluten Sensitivity or Gluten Intolerance and their caregivers, and is available at www.synovate.net/forgluten
