Celiac Awareness Month Banner

May is National Celiac Disease Awareness Month, and the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness has a variety of ways to celebrate. This year’s theme is KISS: Keep It Simple and Safe, and these activities will do just that.

Gluten-Free Pantry Raid
Individuals who donate $20 or more to NFCA during May 1-31, 2012 will be entered in the Gluten-Free Pantry Raid. One Grand Prize winner will receive a gluten-free shopping spree and an in-home visit from NFCA Founder & President Alice Bast – a prize worth $2,500. Second place and runner-up prizes are also available.

Blogger Campaign
NFCA has recruited more than 16 bloggers to share their tips and advice on keeping things simple and safe, no matter what stage of the gluten-free journey. Guest blogs will be posted each weekday on NFCA’s staff blog: Celiac Central: Bits and Bites.

Live Chat with Experts on Gluten-Related Disorders
Alice Bast will lead a live panel discussion on celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity, featuring top celiac disease researchers. The event will take place on May 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. ET and can be watched online from any computer with Internet access.
