Letter from Alice: Happy Holidays
It’s the holiday season! I hope things are off to a cheery start for you and your family, but I know this can be a hectic time of year for many, from buying gifts for everyone on your list to traveling in winter weather. If you add on top of all that the need to eat gluten-free, the stress can sure pile up!
Imagine if one of those stressors were no longer a worry—imagine if you and your family members didn’t have to think about staying gluten free. You could eat freely at the family potluck, frost cookies with friends, and indulge in sweets without having to read a label. You wouldn’t have to worry about cross-contact making you sick and potentially spending your holidays in the bathroom or in bed.
Together, we could make this dream a reality. With your support, some time in the not-so-distant future, holidays Beyond Celiac will be possible. Beyond Celiac is the leading organization working to accelerate treatments toward a cure by 2030. We’ve funded over two million dollars in research for celiac disease and there are now 15 drugs in development. The race is on to see which one will be approved for patients first.
Here are three ways you can help us accelerate this life-changing work:
- Donate to Our Work By making a tax-deductible donation this holiday season, you make sure that we are able to continue doing this critically important work for the celiac disease community. All gifts given this month will be matched up to $36,000 by generous donors, meaning your impact on research goes twice as far.
- Participate in Research through Go Beyond Celiac Go Beyond Celiac is an online patient registry and app that collects data to accelerate research for celiac disease. Share your experiences to help change the future for those living with this serious autoimmune disease.
- Sign Up for a Clinical Trial If you want a front-row seat to the race for a treatment, why not sign up for a clinical trial? As a person affected by celiac disease, you can play an important role in advancing research by participating in a clinical trial or study.
Don’t wait. Help us make holidays Beyond Celiac a reality!
For the 2022 holiday season, we have a gluten-free holiday guide to help you navigate get-togethers with as little stress as possible. From all of us at Beyond Celiac, we wish you and yours healthy, happy holidays!
Together for a cure
