International Meeting on Celiac Disease
Announcing the 2012 International Meeting on Coeliac Disease, organized by the Italian Association of Coeliac Disease (AIC) and by the Italian Coeliac Disease Foundation (FC). The meeting is titled, “Mastering the Coeliac Condition: From Medicine to Social Sciences and Food Technology.” Topics will include pathogenic aspects, novel genetic implications, new trends in clinical presentation, changing diagnostic criteria and perspectives for an alternative treatment to gluten-free diet. The meeting will also include updates from the research field. Parellel sessions on March 30-31 will address quality of life issues affecting celiac disease patients, such as nutritional and psychological problems as well as the role of food industry and Italian government in the management of celiac disease.
