Nate NorrieThe Voices of Celiac Disease

What’s up! My name is Nathan, I was diagnosed with celiac disease when I was six years old. After my dad was diagnosed, myself and my two brothers were tested, and, lucky for me, I also had it.

My dad played a huge role in helping me adapt to a drastically different diet at such a young age, since we shared the same disease. My dad also has eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), and when I was 15 I was also diagnosed with EoE. After five long years of elimination diets with no success, my life was changed when Dupixent was finally approved as a drug EoE patients could use. Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to go back to my “regular” gluten-free diet, with no extra limitations.

Dupixent has been a miracle drug for my EoE, functioning essentially as a cure. Having this experience inspired me to involve myself in pushing toward something similar for the celiac disease community. So here I am!
