Natasha PrimeThe Voices of Celiac Disease

“I mourned the loss of my previous foodie lifestyle and then decided to turn it all around and educate myself.”

A portrait of Natasha.

I’m Natasha and I live in Mount Laurel, New Jersey with my husband, two kiddos, and two pups! After being diagnosed with celiac disease as an adult, I made it my mission to figure out how to successfully lead a delicious and nutritious gluten-free lifestyle in and outside of the home. In doing so, I have discovered so many amazing things that I want to share with people and help them to do the same!

I was diagnosed with celiac disease when I was 35-years-old. It seemed like overnight I went from a happy-go-lucky, zest-for-life person to a fatigued, depressed, panicked mom who couldn’t keep breakfast down or find the energy to drive her kids to school. It went on for months. I saw every specialist in the books and was so scared I would never feel like myself again.

With no family history of the illness, I was shocked when my doctor told me I had celiac disease. I mourned the loss of my previous foodie lifestyle and then decided to turn it all around and educate myself. I went back to school to receive my nutritional therapy practitioner certification so I could truly understand what happens inside: the why behind my celiac disease.

Going forward, I want to help everyone with celiac disease experience the same joy I now do with food and live a supported, healthy, gluten-free life! I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful community as a Beyond Celiac Ambassador!
