Does gluten cause acne?

Answer

Although there’s no published medical research showing a link between celiac disease, non-celiac gluten sensitivity and acne, many acne sufferers report their acne has cleared up after going gluten-free. However, because there is such a significant change in diet when going gluten-free, it is possible that the acne cleared up due to dietary reasons other than the elimination of gluten.
