Alyssa joined the Beyond Celiac Ambassador team in 2021, driven by her personal experience being diagnosed as a child with celiac disease. Alyssa always had a passion for advocacy which inspired her to study social work in college and eventually obtain her MSW. Prior to joining Beyond Celiac as a staff member, she gained valuable insight in the nonprofit sector, contributing as a volunteer, intern, and committee member. Alyssa is excited to utilize her background and expertise to support the development efforts at Beyond Celiac.
