What is Marmite?

Marmite is a dark, savory spread popular in the United Kingdom. It is made from brewers’ yeast extract, which is not gluten-free. It is often eaten on toast, crackers and biscuits, and paired with cheese. Marmite is rich in B vitamins.

If you have celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivity, avoid eating Marmite, as it is not gluten-free.
