WORKSHOP: ACCOMMODATING STUDENTS IN K-12 SCHOOLS IN THE CAFETERIA AND CLASSROOM

Join
Beckee Moreland from Beyond Celiac for an educational forum and discussion for the South New Jersey Celiac Support Group on

May 21, 2017

2 – 4 pm during Celiac Awareness Month. Members and parents of students with celiac disease will learn about the process and procedures for accommodating students in K-12 schools in the cafeteria and classroom. With support from the Ravitz Family Foundation, Beyond Celiac has developed resources for local school districts. This forum will help you understand how you can be proactive in ensuring that your school district takes advantage of these resources and appropriately communicates with parents in providing the support our children need to live healthy lives without fear of food or social stigma. Bring others that you know who have children with celiac disease, as well as your questions and ideas.

When: Sunday, May 21, 2017

Where: VIRTUA Memorial Health Center – Centerton Square
