Many of Zatarain’s rice mixes have always been gluten-free, but now the company is spreading the word to the celiac and gluten-free community. Twenty of Zatarain’s rice mixes have tested as gluten-free. These products now bear a gluten-free designation on the package, making it easier to shop safely in the grocery store.

To help Zatarain’s toot their horn about the new packaging, the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) is hosting the “Jazz Up Your Day Gluten-Free Giveaway,” July 11-15.

Each day, NFCA will post a question about New Orleans food and culture on NFCA’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/nfceliacawareness). One lucky winner will be randomly selected from the pool of respondents to win that day’s prize pack. Prize packs include one box each of Zatarain’s Jambalaya, Dirty Rice and Yellow Rice mixes – all gluten-free.
