UMD Center for Celiac Research Gets $50,000 from Holiday Light Display
November 12, 2010
Celiac disease researchers reap benefits from Christmas webcam sensation.
It all started as a hoax, but a festive holiday house has raised more than $50,000 in donations to the University of Maryland Center for Celiac Research.
The contributions have been gathered over the last 5 years, after a father of two children with celiac disease decided to turn his animated Christmas light display into a fundraiser for the Baltimore-based research center.
