NFCA Launches Interactive Resource for Gluten-Free College Students
April 06, 2012
GREAT U allows readers to flip through articles, click on gluten-free products and services.
The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) has launched a new resource to help gluten-free students currently in college and those preparing to visit campuses this fall. GREAT U (www.beyondceliac.org/college/greatu) is a digital publication filled with articles, recipes and inspiring stories from real college students living with celiac disease and other gluten-related disorders. Readers can flip through the pages online just like they would a traditional magazine.
Gluten-free students face a number of challenges at college, from finding food that’s safe to eat, to navigating parties and tailgates where gluten-containing beer is the only beverage.
Here’s a taste of what’s inside:
- Q&A with Florida State Quarterback and Diagnosed Celiac Clint Trickett
- How to Make the ULTIMATE Gluten-Free Care Package
- 5-Minute Gluten-Free Recipes
- How to Start a Gluten-Free Advocacy Group on Campus
GREAT U was created by a college senior, who worked with NFCA to produce this resource. It was made possible with support from Udi’s Gluten Free Foods.
