Jennifer Esposito continues to make noise for the celiac disease community as she appeared on the Today Show to talk about celiac, the gluten-free diet and the filming of a pilot episode for a potential new reality series, “Playing with Fire.”

The reality series will focus on the lives of chefs trying to “make it” in New York City. The clip shone by co-hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb shows Esposito in Jennifer’s Way Bakery, her new gluten-free bakery in Manhattan, preparing gnocchi with another chef. Esposito reported she originally wanted to host a show about celiac disease, but decided to focus on properly preparing gluten-free food.

Importantly, Esposito took the opportunity to share some of the celiac disease symptoms with the audience and stressed the importance of getting a blood test and biopsy of the small intestine to test for celiac disease.
