The national nonprofit Beyond Celiac is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The Communications Coordinator plays a pivotal role in shaping our digital presence, driving engagement, elevating the brand, and advancing our mission to raise awareness about celiac disease. This position is fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Manage digital content creation and publishing for all organization channels including email, social media and website.
- Monitor social media channels and engage with follower comments and user-generated content.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including communications, advancement, and science to create branded digital assets.
- Coordinate content creation with Beyond Celiac team members, volunteers, and members of the celiac community.
- Coordinate digital programming by sourcing guests, hosting webinars, editing footage and publishing to various channels.
- Coordinate content for awareness, event promotion, and fundraising campaigns, often including sponsored content.
- Storyboard, script, produce and publish short-form video content for web, social and other digital needs.
- Produce engaging and branded graphic design elements for all channels.
- Assist in strategic communications planning, execution, and reporting. Provide analysis and suggest opportunities for growth.
- Assist with digital ad design and placement.
Required Background and Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in graphic design, content creation, and social media engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing, health communications, advertising, digital media, or a related field.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and demonstrated experience in managing accounts across multiple platforms.
- Basic proficiency in graphic design and video production.
- Demonstrated skills in professional and short-form writing.
- Comfortable working in a fully remote environment.
Beneficial Background and Skills
- Personal connection or experience with celiac disease.
- Experience in video creation and editing.
- Wordpress, CSS, or other web development tools.
- Influencer engagement.
- Background in health communication or within the healthcare sector.
- Digital marketing and advertising experience.
