Hi I’m Gabby! I’m 12 years old and I was diagnosed with celiac disease when I was three years old. Growing up with an autoimmune disease, I always felt super angry and left out when I couldn’t eat the cake at birthday parties or eat the class snacks. No one really told me what I could eat, it was always, “You can’t eat this,” or, “You can’t eat that.” I was always very frustrated because I didn’t have anyone in my life who understood what I was going through.
As a Reach Beyond Celiac ambassador, I really just want to help other people feel like they’re not alone in this.
