Meet the Experts

Who's answering your questions? Meet the gluten-free teens and young adults behind Ask KC. They know all about the struggles you face, and they want to help you be happy, healthy and gluten-free!

Alexander Hymowitz

Alexander Hymowitz was diagnosed with celiac disease at age 11. At first, he tried everything to not follow the gluten-free diet, but then realized how much better he felt when he did eat gluten-free. Now in his junior year of high school, Alexander is 100% gluten-free and is on a mission to help other kids with celiac disease and gluten sensitivity feel just as good as he does.

Molly North

Molly North was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2008 at age 16.  She is currently a sophomore at Bard College, where she studies biology and works as an advocate for gluten-free students on campus.  Molly's favorite gluten-free food: a tie between homemade pumpkin gnocchi and apple-custard pie.

Sabrina Wolfe

Sabrina was diagnosed with a gluten allergy two years ago at age 13. Going gluten-free was a big change, especially when so much else in her life was changing at the same time. However, Sabrina stayed positive and is now feeling great on the gluten-free diet. She started volunteering for NFCA and is determined to help other kids who need to eat gluten-free.
