Servings: 9×13 pan (cut into 24 bars)
Ingredients:
For Bars:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp. maple extract
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 cups gluten-free flour blend
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 box Boar’s Head Fully Cooked Bacon, cooked crispy to package directions
For Frosting:
- 1/2 cup confectioners powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter, softened
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- ½ cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp. maple extract
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, mix butter, sugar, maple extract and egg yolk until blended.
- In separate bowl, mix together flour and salt. Stir flour mixture into butter mixture.
- Press into ungreased 9×13 pan. Bake 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Combine confectioners sugar, butter, cream cheese, maple syrup and maple extract in large bowl and beat with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
- Spread frosting over cooled crust and sprinkle top with crispy bacon. Cut into bars to serve.
