Vote for Next Iron Chef Finalist Jehangir Mehta in the Zagat Survey

Support this GREAT-trained chef by voting for his gluten-free-friendly restaurants, Graffiti and Mehtaphor.

You might know Chef Jehangir Mehta from the hit show “Next Iron Chef.” The team at the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA), though, knows Chef Mehta as an amazing advocate and supporter of the gluten-free community.

Chef Mehta is trained in safe gluten-free food preparation through NFCA’s GREAT Kitchens program, an online course that teaches foodservice professionals how to prepare food that is “celiac disease safe.” He even came on the road for the Gluten-Free Chef’s Table Tour with NFCA President and CEO Alice Bast and our Director of the GREAT Kitchens Program Beckee Moreland. Together, the team traveled to various restaurants and schools across the U.S. to raise awareness of the special needs of the celiac disease and gluten sensitive communities.

Now, we have the opportunity to say “thank you” to Chef Mehta for his support. All you have to do is vote for his New York City restaurants, Graffiti and Mehtaphor, in the Zagat Survey. Voting is simple and there’s even an opportunity to earn special rewards just for participating.

Head to the Zagat survey here and follow the prompts to vote for Graffiti and Mehtaphor. In just three quick steps, you’ll be helping us say “thank you” to Chef Mehta for all he does to help make safe gluten-free options more widely available. Voting ends on Tuesday, April 15, 2014.
