UC Berkeley senior gives candid account of the social challenges in living gluten-free.
Cecilia Bonaduce is not a picky eater. In fact, “My only criterion a food must meet is that it not be poisonous,” she says.
Cecilia, a senior at University of California, Berkeley, has celiac disease. This semester, she created a video for her Digital Storytelling class that addresses the social implications of having special dietary needs. The video is a powerful look at how celiac disease and gluten intolerance affect far more than an individual’s diet.
A longtime NFCA supporter, Cecilia included a special surprise for NFCA in the video.
