A year-end recap from NFCA Web and Social Media Manager Alicia Carango

By Alicia Carango, NFCA Web & Social Media Manager

Whenever we think of new awareness efforts at NFCA, the first thing we always do is ask, “What will the community think?” “What will benefit them the most?” If you’re a follower of NFCA on social media, you know what comes next: we toss our questions out to you.

I have loved engaging with you on social media over the last year. You never cease to provide interesting insight and commentary! Each and every time you like, share or comment on something NFCA posts, you’re helping us raise awareness and get the real message about celiac disease and gluten sensitivity out there. Each time you engage with us, Facebook shows a post to more and more people. This year, through just one hot Facebook topic, we were able to reach 195,000 people. Multiply that by the many conversations we have each day and we’re talking about reaching a lot of people! Amazing, isn’t it?

I hope you will continue talking to us in 2015. For those of you who aren’t already involved in social media, you can find out where we are by clicking here.

Outside of the ever-popular “What was your best gluten-free find this weekend?” post, here are some of our hottest Facebook conversations of the year:
