The Maki Celiac Disease Tampere Prize (€ 15,000) is an award presented to an individual whose research has made a significant contribution to the fields of Celiac Diseases and Gluten-induced Disease Entities. An international expert review committee will select the recipient based on his/her clinical, translational and transformative research. The University of Tampere has decided not to consider previous recipients of the Warren Prize in Celiac Disease.

Nominations are open worldwide. Nominations can be made by an individual, by the nominee him/herself or by a university, institution or company.

The review committee needs

  1. A signed nomination letter
  2. Summary of the nominee, maximum 3 pages, on the nominee’s scientific achievements and on its significance to health care, industry and public in general and to the celiac community. This summary should also include Web of Science citation report: Number of publications at a certain date, sum of times cited, and h-index
  3. Short CV, maximum 3 pages
  4. List of 20 selected publications and patents

The awardee will be notified of the Prize latest by May 31, 2018.

The award will be announced on September 14, 2018 at the Tampere Celiac Disease Symposium 2018, Serology and Biomarkers, in the Arvo building, University of Tampere, Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences, Tampere, Finland, where the laureate will give a keynote lecture presenting his/her research.
