Finishes 2nd and 3rd in recent Australian Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG) outings.
NFCA’s Athlete for Awareness Sarah Jane Smith posted her best finishes of the 2010 Australian Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG) season; placing 3rd in the Moss Vale Golf Club Ladies Classic, and 2nd overall in the Kangaroo Valley Resort ALPG Classic.
Sarah Jane scored a 65 during the 2nd round of the Moss Vale tournament, held January 21at and 22nd, tying a Moss Vale Golf Club course record.
According to Southern Highland News:
Moss Vale Golf Club professional Robert Marsh said Thomas and Smith played unbelievable golf.
“The fairways were a bit harder with the hot weather and the ladies got a bit more run,” Marsh said.
“Shooting a 65 is pretty good and for two of the girls to do it was amazing.”
Sarah Jane finished 3rd in the tournament behind Vicky Thomas, and fellow Queensland, Australia native and 2009 ANZ Ladies Master’s Tour Champion, Katherine Hull.
Sarah Jane went on to finish 2nd behind England’s Laura Davies in the Kangaroo Valley Resort ALPG Classic held January 25th 2010.
