Sarah Jane Smith Opens ALPG Season

Appears in Australian Short Course Challenge

Sarah Jane Smith began her stint on the Australian Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG) yesterday, competing in the Australian Short Course Challenge.

A field of 55 women played in the one-day event held at the Russell Vale golf course in Wollongong.

Sarah Jane, who is currently ranked 105 on the LPGA tour, finished in a tie for 13th with a final score of 62.

“I played here last year and its an awesome lead-up for the season,” she said.

ANZ Ladies Masters Champion Katherine Hull defeated reigning NSW Open Champion, Sarah Oh, in a five-hole play-off to win the tournament.
