Register for NFCA’s March Monday Meet-Up!

Join The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness on Monday, March 23, 2009from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PMat Legal Sea Foodsin King of Prussia, PAfor this month’s Monday Meet-Up!

The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness and Legal Sea Foods are excited to announce the third NFCA Monday Meet-up event. Legal Sea Foods Executive Chef Robert Rivera will present a very special three-course, fixed-price menu at $50. Not only will guests enjoy delicious gluten-free food and great conversation, but will be supporting a great cause as a portion of all proceeds goes to benefit the NFCA’s awareness programs.

Chef Rivera and Legal Sea Foods previously completed NFCA’s Gluten- Free Resource Education Awareness Training (GREAT) protocol in gluten-free meal preparation and also participated in NFCA’s “Appetite for Awareness: A Gluten Free Cooking Spree” 2008 event at the Wachovia Center, helping to raise over $340,000 for celiac disease awareness.

First Course (Starters)
• Lite Clam Chowder
• House Salad with Romano Peppercorn Dressing
• Caesar Salad with Chickpea Croutons

Second Course (Entrée)
• Baked Boston Scrod
Served with Jasmine Rice and Steamed Broccoli
• Grilled Mahi
Served over Jasmine Rice with Sautéed Sherry Mushrooms, Cherry Tomatoes and Spinach
• Portuguese Fisherman’s Stew
Cornmeal crusted scrod stewed with Mussels, Clams, and Chorizo Sausage in a Saffron Tomato Broth

Third Course (Dessert)
• Pistachio Terrine
Pistachio mousse with flourless chocolate crust
• Featured Sorbet

NFCA Meet-Ups are held monthly on Monday evenings and hosted by premiere restaurants throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. NFCA Meet-Up events seek to recognize restaurants committed to providing gluten-free menus for those with celiac disease who require a strict gluten-free diet. The featured restaurant donates a portion of your dinner check to the NFCA in continued support of Celiac Awareness.
