Recall Notice: Burgers May Be Contaminated with Wheat

Campos Foods are recalling beef products for undeclared wheat on the label.

Allergic Livingmagazine reported this morning on an important product recall, which affects 137,000 pounds of beef products sold under the H-E-B brand by Campos Foods.

The spice mix used in the H-E-B ready-to-eat cheese burgers contains wheat, but the allergen isn’t called out on the ingredients label. The beef products being recalled were produced between August 2014 and January 2015.

For more information on the recall, call the toll-free USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline is 1-888-MPHotline (1-888-674-6853). Reactions or complaints can be reported online here.

The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) thanks Allergic Living for sharing this important product recall notice!
