Product Alert: Marinades & Sauces Labeled Gluten-Free but Containing Wheat

Salamida State Fair Big Hawaii Teriyaki Marinade and Chef Myron’s Magic 20 Gauge Marinade and all Chef Myron’s sauces labeled gluten-free despite containing wheat.

According to Tricia Thompson, MS, RD of Gluten-Free Watchdog, LLC, there are a few products on the market currently that are labeled gluten-free, but contain soy sauce as an ingredient, which contains wheat. These products are not safe for people with celiac disease. Thompson cautions the community to avoid Salamida State Fair Big Hawaii Teriyaki Marinade and Chef Myron’s Magic 20 Gauge Marinade and all Chef Myron’s sauces labeled gluten-free.
