Researchers at both Washington State University and Oregon State University have begun to develop transgenic wheat varieties that are safe for celiacs to consume.

Researchers at both Washington State University and Oregon State University have begun to develop transgenic wheat varieties that are safe for celiacs to consume. The National Institutes of Health has approved a four-year research grant to WSU researcher Diter von Wettstein to further his work on developing celiac friendly wheat varieties.
