Gluten-Free Mac & No Cheese and Gluten-Free French Bread Pizza may be contaminated.
Ian’s Natural Foods is voluntarily recalling specific lot numbers of two gluten-free products due to concerns of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a type of bacteria. According to a release from Ian’s, the bacteria could cause severe or even fatal infections in young children, elderly adults and others with weakened immune systems. Other Individuals infected by Listeria may suffer headaches, stiffness and nausea, and pregnant women could be at risk for miscarriage.
The potentially tainted products are Ian’s Wheat-Free, Gluten-Free Mac & No Cheese and Wheat-Free, Gluten-Free French Bread Pizza. Distribution is nationwide, so the company released the following Use-By dates and UPC codes to help consumers identify products that may be affected by the recall:
Consumers who have a product that matches the Use-By date and UPC code listed can return the item to the place of purchase for a full refund, Ian’s said. All other products that do not match the dates and UPC codes listed are not affected by the recall and are safe to consume, the release noted.
