PHILADELPHIA – July 10, 2017 – Three million Americans across all races, ages and genders suffer from celiac disease, yet only 200,000 are accurately diagnosed. To raise awareness of this serious genetic autoimmune disease and funds for research, Beyond Celiac is holding the Bold Beyond Research Symposiumon November 9th from 5:00 – 6:30 pm in the Lecture Hall in Drexel University’s Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building.

The symposium will consist of a live panel presentation and discussion, featuring: Ciaran P. Local and national corporate sponsors, including media sponsor CBS Radio Philadelphia, will support the event.

The Bold Beyond Research Symposiumwill propel the innovative Beyond Celiac research agenda to engage 20,000 people with celiac disease in order to improve the quality of care for those diagnosed, accelerating new treatment options beyond the gluten-free diet. The resulting new therapies will enable people with celiac disease to eat out and travel without fear or worry and, ultimately, drive a cure for celiac disease.

“Beyond Celiac has made a decisive move with its new strategy to accelerate research to find new treatments and a cure,” notes Gregg Melinson, Beyond Celiac Board Member. “We are pleased that we’ve received such generous support from our sponsors to be able to propel our message and our mission.”
