Yep, you heard it right. Babycakes NYC (now called Erin McKenna’s Bakery) is churning out gluten-free goodies in Downtown Disney Marketplace. Rumors of the bakery’s latest outpost swept through Twitter earlier this week until founder Erin McKenna confirmed the news.

“I’ve been holding this secret in for about 2 years and I was hoping to keep this on the hush for another week till we got our decor redone but the news seems to have leaked through Twitter. So, surprise! We’ve opened the newest location of BabyCakes NYC in Downtown Disney, Orlando. I know, I know. I’m totally freaking out too,” she blogged.

Babycakes NYC has won acclaim for its vegan and gluten-free cupcakes, cookies, brownies and other sweet treats, even earning a nod on the television hit “Gossip Girl.” The bakery, which also has locations in Los Angeles and, of course, New York City, was also named as a possible source of Chelsea Clinton’s much-talked-about gluten-free wedding cake. (The cake actually came from La Tulipe Desserts in Westchester, NY.)

The Babycakes-Disney partnership seems like a good match. Walt Disney World has been praised for its gluten-free accommodations at park restaurants and eateries.
