“Jack’s Beans” Generates a $3,000 Donation to the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness

14-year-old Jack Simpson put his sales skills to the test and succeeded in reaching his fundraising goal in support of NFCA’s free programs and services.

Jack Simpson with Jack's Beans At just 14 years old, Jack Simpson has become one of the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness’ (NFCA) biggest supporters.  Each year, Jack takes on a different sales approach to earn revenue to support NFCA’s free programs and services for people living with gluten-related disorders.  This year, Jack created his own line of coffee called “Jack’s Beans,” accompanied by the clever slogan “Make Your Coffee Count.”

Jack, who is diagnosed with celiac disease, enlisted the help of Tom Kanyuk, a family friend who funded the initial purchase of the coffee beans so Jack could donate 100% of the proceeds to NFCA.  Eric and Mazie Alpert, also family friends of the Simpsons, sold 50 bags of “Jack’s Beans” with the help of their children Brandon and Devon.  Saylor Brisson, the president of a group called the Moorestown Interact Club, lent Jack a hand by recruiting volunteers from the local high school to help with coffee bean sales.

NFCA is incredibly grateful to Jack and his helpers for raising a whopping $3,000 to help us achieve our mission of restoring health and reclaiming lives.  Thank you, Jack and the Simpson family, for your continued support of NFCA.  Way to go!
