Girl Scouts Pilot Testing Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies

The organization announces its first-ever gluten-free cookie.

Many in the gluten-free community have been hoping for a gluten-free Girl Scout Cookie – and they just may get their wish.

The Girl Scouts of America announced 20 of their councils are selling gluten-free Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies. If cookie sales are deemed successful, they may be made available nationwide next year. See if your local Girl Scouts are selling the gluten-free cookies here.

The cookies boast no artificial flavors or colors, high fructose corn syrup, palm oil or hydrogenated oils (and, of course, no gluten). These certified gluten-free cookies will be available in a 5 ounce re-sealable pouch.
