Carol Kicinski, Simply Gluten Free

I was diagnosed gluten sensitive more than 20 years ago and was taken aback by the changes I needed to make to stay healthy. I constantly kept my eye out for online resources that could help me live a happy gluten-free lifestyle. The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) was founded with great anticipation. The gluten-free community had high expectations of NFCA, and now, on their 10th anniversary, I can truly say they lived up to those expectations!

NFCA is a frontrunner in the education and awareness of celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity (‘gluten sensitivity’). Their website is full of wonderful resources, from news to events to information about support groups. I have used their site for many reasons, including checking upcoming events to help market my own company and reading about new research on celiac disease and gluten sensitivity. I have also found great websites listed on NFCA’s site that offer advice, tips and stories about gluten-free living.

NFCA has been a fantastic resource for me and other people with gluten sensitivity. Not only have they been helpful in providing information, but they have also been helpful in supporting others who want to make a difference in the gluten-free community. They have supported my website and magazine and have always wished me great success. Ten years ago I did not expect that today I would have the honor of having my website listed on NFCA’s resource page.

It is because of organizations like the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness that the gluten-free community has been able to grow and become what they are today – a group of loyal and caring people who want to help each other live happy, healthy, gluten-free lives.

So congratulations and thank you, NFCA, for being such a wonderful support system for the gluten-free community. We appreciate everything you’ve done these past 10 years and can’t wait to see what you do with the years to come!
