National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) Staff Member Named “Citizen of the Week”

Healthcare Relations Manager Kristin Voorhees, MA is recognized by The Ambler Gazette for being selected as a Drug Information Association Patient Advocate Fellow.

The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness is proud to announce Healthcare Relations Manager Kristin Voorhees, MA has been selected to serve as a Patient Advocate Fellow for the Drug Information Association (DIA), a neutral, global, nonprofit association that provides knowledge resources across the full spectrum of medical product development. DIA provides professionals at all levels and across all disciplines access to timely and authoritative information to advance careers, skills, and innovation in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and related fields.

Recognizing this tremendous achievement, The Ambler Gazette, the local news source where NFCA is headquartered, has named Kristin as the “Citizen of the Week.”

Kristin was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2007 and has been advocating on behalf of other patients with NFCA since 2010. As part of being named a Patient Advocate Fellow by DIA, Kristin has been awarded a scholarship and will attend the DIA 2013 49th Annual Meeting in Boston next month.
